AN OPPORTUNITY FOR LEADERSHIP AND INVOLVEMENT IN YOUR COMMUNITY

Community Public Health and Scientific Faculty (CPHSF)

The Burlington Board of Health has become a trusted resource to our town. In response to inquiries involving public health, science, wellness, safety, as well as our new biotechnology, the Board is developing a Public Health and Scientific Faculty (CPHSF), created to provide specific understanding and insight to the community.

All professionals living and working in our community with specific expertise are invited to become part of this organization; experts who may be called upon to make “community presentations,” to schools, religious, community, and other nonprofit groups within the region. Presenters will be asked to become part of our Medical Volunteer Reserve Corp, (MRC) and take advantage of many diverse training opportunities.

Participation is voluntary. We hope that you or members of your organization will join in enhancing the understanding of public health, the new science of this community, and all aspects of our local government.

All Faculty members, their organizations, and areas of expertise will be listed on our Burlington Board of Health website, publicly acknowledged and highlighted each year in our MRC newsletter.

Please click on the "Application" tab on this webpage to fill out the online application for to join the CPHSF (if you are having trouble filling out the online form, please use the fillable word document here). We hope that you will join this new and novel organization; giving back to the Town where you live or work.

Applications can be submitted to the Board of Health through our online application, at 61 Center Street, Burlington, MA 01803, or via email at boh@burlington.org
